ART DECO SESSIONS ONYX MERMAID MANTEL CLOCK SET WITH GARNITURES CIRCA 1936. Clock with mermaids measures approximately 9 ¾ high by 16 wide by 3 deep. Each onyx garniture measures approximately 12 high by 4 ¾ wide by 4 5/8 deep. Just had the clock serviced and it is in working order and keeping good time. There is a crack in the long rectangular onyx base underneath the clock. It has been reinforced with a strong metal plate on the underside with newer felt see photos. Based on the patent numbers on the back of the clock, and the highest patent number of 2,049,261, this clock was made circa 1936.
